What Is Truth?

Today I was thinking about truth. Would you know truth if it stared you in the face? Where do you get your truth from? School, friends, television, the internet, the news! Is all of it truth or just parts of it? What I'm really asking is, what is truth?

Funny, that's the same question Pilate asked of Jesus. Ironically the Truth was standing right before him and was about to sentenced to death for.....well, telling the Truth. As a true ambassador of Truth, Jesus cannot break His word (John 10:35). Did you know that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3). It is through Christ and Christ alone that we can know God, who is Truth. If we take Jesus at His Word we will experience the blessings of His Truth. This Truth has the power to set you free....permanently.

I am confident of two things:
ONE: All (not just parts of it) Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 )
TWO: The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

In our present day, truth is becoming increasingly clouded by deception and relativism. Many argue that truth is evolutionary and should adapt with and be defined by the culture in which it permeates. We need only to delve into the chronicles of human history to quickly discover that society always collapses in on itself when morality and ethics are authored and defined by human origin. We can be confident in knowing that the One who created and designed us desires to write His law of Truth on the tablet of our hearts.
